The story

A restaurant. A fire.
A church. The Manor.

What stands on this ground has changed three times in ninety years, and the people who built the latest chapter are the ones who will hand you the keys. The words below are Dan and Suzi’s own, from their listing and their pages.

In their words

“We have been builders of the unusual for many decades, which includes people, potentials and buildings. Our specialty has been authentic log homes complete with wide chinking and 100-year-old barn beams. Shawano Baker Manor showcases our creative craftsmanship and authenticity.

Shawano Baker Manor’s original location was the historic Limestone Castle Restaurant from the 1930’s. It burned down in 1994. We purchased the remnant cement slab in 1995 and built a church on the site which was in operation for many years.

When the opportunity presented itself to renovate children’s classrooms of the 30-year-old church building into an Airbnb we were no strangers to the task. Dan loves building with wood and appreciates its varied beauty. Hence the unique craftsmanship of Shawano Baker Manor. Most of the furnishings in the 4 bed/3 bath living quarters are vintage Baker furniture pieces circa the 1970’s.”

— Sincerely, Dan and Suzi Fiedler
