Shawano Baker ManorBaker Manor

Shawano, Wisconsin · ★ 5.0 on Airbnb

A handcrafted retreat.

Sleeps twelve — four bedrooms including two king suites across 3,500 square feet, with a fire pit under the bluff.

In the owners’ words

“Builders of the unusual.”

“We have been builders ‘of the unusual’ for many decades… Our specialty has been authentic log homes complete with wide chinking and 100-year-old barn beams. Shawano Baker Manor showcases our creative craftsmanship and authenticity.

Shawano Baker Manor’s original location was the historic Limestone Castle Restaurant from the 1930’s. It burned down in 1994. We purchased the remnant cement slab in 1995 and built a church on the site, which was in operation for many years.”

— Dan and Suzi Fiedler, the owners

The church’s children’s classrooms became the Manor — furnished almost exclusively with vintage Baker pieces from the 1970s. That is where the name comes from.
